It is our absolute pleasure to announce that our long-time friend and favorite cold noodle aficionado and expert, Jon Kung, is returning for a second Valentine's Day Collection collaboration!
There are so many things to love about Jon. Where do we start?
Let's start where we started. Around here, Jon has been a chef-about-town for a long time, working for some real greats. Self-taught, he became known for his popups and intricate dinners which he served out of his secret kitchen, Kung Food Market/Studio. In the infancy of Bon Bon Bon he became a friend and from then on we often found ourselves sustained on his incredible version of the aforementioned cold noodles and unmatched hospitality.
Lately though, who isn't in love with Jon Kung? I mean, we get it because we are! Second (ok, ok first), he proposed to his (really wonderful) now Fiancé in the foreword of his recently released book, Kung Food: Chinese American Recipes from a Third-Culture Kitchen: A Cookbook. And on top of all that home grown love (and the complete and pure adoration of his two loyal pups) he's grown to well-deserved "super hottie" stardom online posting solid recipes for very good food while making ingredients that might seem just out of reach for as a novice, much more accessible in that same very welcoming way.

When we started talking about our approach to this collection, it became clear that what we wanted to get across was actual love (not to be confused with Love, Actually although it seems to share our sentiment in a way). We aimed to make this collection special and unique in that way your favorite neighbor is special and unique and a new friend is special and unique. We really hope that it hits the spot and can't wait for you to try what we came up with. "Bon" Appetit!
