Bon Bon Bon exists because we believe that good people deserve sincerely good chocolate. We’re willing to put in the work to surpass the choco status quo on behalf of the good people we serve. To do that, we purchase Bon Bon Bon blends of Arriba Nacional cacao we think it’s excellent, absolutely delicious, certifiably safe and constructive, smart chocolate. We do so fair and square. Our friend and partner, Jenny, lovingly grinds the liquid gold that we import from Ecuador and cast into chocolate shells that we fill by (gloved clean) hand with things we either make or carefully curate. Some of those fillings are as organic and natural as it gets. We also use Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Although we have an affinity for what is natural, the goal is ultimately to communicate, though taste, a concept, perhaps punny, that is delicious, accurate and always improving. The rest is human.
It can be hard to put a finger on what the people of Bon Bon Bon (aka the Babes Babes Babes) have in common, exactly (other than a tendency to have had a father figure who owned/s a full size van but that's for another post). We do not universally share our experiences, backgrounds, thoughts, ideas, political ideology, expectations, religion, gender identities, education, language, interests, cultures, etc. and don’t expect to.
What we do expect from each other in doing the work outlined above is for each person’s work to be done with a humanly imperfect commitment to the following: 1. We commit to quality and goodness, even when it’s hard. 2. We work with a positive attitude & an open mind. 3. We desire a work ethic of sincere professionalism. 4. We strive to communicate effectively. 5. Ride or die. We do the best we can with whatever resources we have any given time. It’s not everything, it’s never perfect, it’s not enough and sometimes it’s not even great! Still, we wake up, still we work, together to do something good (or should we say "Bon"?). If any of this does not jive with you, that is ok! We know that we are not a chocolate shop for everyone. We post this annually for transparency so that if our core values aren't a match with yours there's an easy, quick opportunity for us to part ways here.
