Matcha ganache layered with espresso ganache (because sometimes matcha alone isn't enough), and dark chocolate for pairing makes for the world's most delicious few bites. Well at least in my book!
As a self proclaimed "matcha girlie", I drink matcha daily. Sometimes at home, sometimes at cafes, sometimes in my chocolate! And let me tell you- not all matcha is treated equally. But when I took a bite of Jon Kung's newest creation as part of the Bon Bon Bon Valentine's Day Collection, there was no doubt that the Babes Babes Babes used a high grade matcha for this Bon.
If you get matcha regularly, you understand this: sometimes there's just not enough matcha and you can't actually taste it... THE WORST! Other times, there's way too much and it tastes like grass... Ask Brad Pitt... apparently he too is a matcha girlie (as I would say).
I am happy to report that The Babes Babes Babes in production nailed it and it neither tastes like grass nor like nothing! Instead, this Bon is matcha-forward in all the right ways with the perfect compliment of dark chocolate and espresso.
So if you are thinking of trying dark chocolate + matcha, the answer is yes, they definitely go together (mighty well if I may add).
