Our garden is one of our favorite places. I wouldn’t say that the super flat roof here is the only reason why we bought the building that we did, but it’s garden potential definitely played a very big part in the decision . Aside from the two hives that we maintain in partnership with our main dudes over at Bee’s in the D, we also maintain a small veggie, fruit and herb patch that make’s custom bons extra special and gives some of our regular Bons the epic claim of being maybe the most local chocolate that there ever was!
Things out here have been pretty dormant all winter. Which is depressing. Every day it’s depressing. BUT! Sunny days, rainy nights and the chives that are coming back, have us dreaming up plans for this season’s harvest!
Purple potatoes were a bust last year, but this year (as per the advice of the actual Martha Stewart herself) we’re going to plant them in some old hay bails and see how it goes. We have plans for some quails for the coops, and lou is planning our her napping spots around raised beds and arugula.
