A Walk Through Nickels Arcade in Ann Arbor

Posted by Theobroma Cacao on

The college town of Ann Arbor is crawling with "hidden gems" that are hardly even 'hidden'. Allow me to tell you a little something about our neck of the woods and all its magic - Nickels Arcade.

Across the street from The University of Michigan, are some big arches that look like they lead somewhere mysterious. Spoiler - it's no mystery, just go in!

A teeny little walkway under an enclosed rooftop that lets you look through to the stars, lined with history, that sense of nostalgia, and tons of wonder of what use to be occupying those halls. Present day, you'll find Bivouac playing host to the many visitors walking by.

Then you'll find Comet Coffee kindly and quietly handing out cups of coffee and serving all the cozy vibes.

A few steps down and you'll find yourself in Chuck's little Tobacco Shop, probably laughing with some regulars about their day. Ask to sit & they'll welcome you with open arms.

Next door from Chuck you can peruse through some posters and wall art to find the perfect piece.

Once you are done there, University flower Shop will probably catch your attention if they haven't already. Some of the most beautiful, thoughtfully made flower arrangements are sitting inside this place waiting to be scooped up.

So you get your flowers and head next door. Follow the circle sign that says Bon Bon Bon. That's us! We're the cute ones in pink. There, we'll load you up on chocolate, cover you in stickers, and listen to you vent if you want to.

Then you can end your day at Madras Masala to get some delicious Indian food.

And there you have it, a whole day just out of Nickels Arcade, Ann Arbor. We will see you oh-so soon.
