Detroit is turning 325... and she is looking pretty darn good!
It is extremely rude to spend Detroit's birthday in any other city, because you are invited! We are all celebrating together, and the city that we all love is helping us fill the day with fun.🎉
The Whitney is hosting a birthday party for our lovely Detroit to enjoy live music, a lovely garden, all with delicious food. What is better than a garden party?☀️🐞

To celebrate the French settlers, there are many parties to attend this Friday with French-Canadian inspiration!
The Bonne Fête Détroit 325 will be celebrated on Friday at the Fort Pontchartrain Hotel. Guests are encouraged to wear 18th century garb! I know where I'll be...
The outfits aren't the only reason to go: There will be French-Canadian music, food, dancing, as well as presentations on Detroit's history!🍗🍇

For more historical info, the Detroit Historical Museum is giving free admission AND will be opened late, giving free lectures not only the day of, but also the rest of the year! 📚
This is a series of lectures all on the city that we love, so that our community can continue to learn about the place we call home.
Oh yeah, they also are having a community block party! All day, the museum will have food trucks, car displays, and more!🚗🍉
