Hamtramck Manu Before!

Hamtramck Manu Before!

Posted by Mar Manzanares-Brock on

Our Manufactory in Hamtramck wasn’t always a chocolate haven—depending on who you ask, it was once a gentlemen’s club, and at one point, someone may have allegedly tried to set it on fire for insurance fraud. While we can’t confirm the full history, let’s just say it had character.

Turning this old building into a chocolate-making wonderland wasn’t exactly a simple task. Walls came down, pipes went in, and yes, we made sure the fire safety measures were top-notch. But through all the chaos, the Manufactory came to life, filled with creativity, craftsmanship, and the sweet smell of chocolate.

Now, instead of cigars and secrets, it’s caramel bubbling, ganache whipping, and Bons being made with love. Whatever this place was before, we’d say chocolate is a pretty sweet upgrade. 🍫🔥
