Entering its 12th year of operation next month, Bon Bon Bon has released countless seasonal box sets of limited-edition flavors to augment its much-loved permanent menu of Bons. This summer’s collection promises something completely new for Bon fans and chocolate lovers; it arrives accompanied by a Little Book of Love.
The collection, Summer Lovin', features 12 new flavors inspired by the poetry of Atticus and is bundled with his newest pocket-sized collection, The Little Book of Love. A three times New York Times bestselling author whose books have reached readers around the world, Atticus has been dubbed "The World's Most Tattooable Poet" by Galore Magazine and "The Lord Byron of the Insta-Generation" by The Times. With a global audience of millions, his work has become synonymous with modern romance, wanderlust, and emotional honesty. All the Bons in the collection, which includes Tangled Pastel Haze and One to Wake Me Up were inspired by Atticus’s writing. Each Bon includes a QR code to online content featuring more of the poetry in context and notes on the Bon creation process, including flavor development and visual design work. It’s a rare glimpse behind the scenes at the making of a collection.

Why hasn’t there been a Summer Collection in a while? It’s of the utmost importance to Bon Bon Bon that customers receive their orders in the exact same condition they left the manufactory, completely fresh and unharmed in transit by heat or other factors. To that end, rising temperatures this time of year can be a logistical challenge, drastically expanding the “melty zones” that require overnight or two-day shipping across the map. This leads to spikes in shipping rates every summer which can be an understandable deterrent to customers. The all-inclusive price tag ($80.00) bundles the cost of the collection of Bons, the book of poems, and the shipping into one total figure so there’s no surprises at checkout. About the collaboration, Atticus said, “[Bon Bon Bon] creates things with heart. They do things differently. They care deeply about what they make and the people they make it for. That matters to me.
