Lisa Ludwinski of Sister Pie and Alex Clark of Bon Bon Bon were introduced by a mutual friend at a Detroit event, and the rest, as they say, is history. From all night dance parties to holiday gift trades, our two Detroit-born small businesses have been connected for basically their entire existence.

In the early years Sister Pie would provide us with their scrap crust, and we would use it as an element in our Bon fillings. Aside from a shared love of all things sweet, we bonded over our extreme love of dogs. Lisa adopted Ruby (and named the Ruby Thursday Pie after her), and Alex would often take Lou on a walk to visit the Sister Pie bakery.

It's no coincidence that everything about this collection has felt easy peasy lemon squeezy. We share such a similar set of values, we both love the same flavor combinations (we're looking at you Cardamom Tahini Squash), and we've both experienced the joys and stresses of running a small business. Like us, Sister Pie crafts their goodies using the best local Michigan produce, with many a visit to Eastern Market providing inspiration for new creations.

If you're curious to see what a Sister Pie Malted Lime pie tastes like in Bon form, here's your chance! Together we've created 12-limited edition treats and they're now available for pre-order here. Pre-order your box now, and happy October from Bon Bon Bon & Sister Pie 🥧🍫 xoxo
