BOM: Paczki!

This February, we’re bringing a little piece of Polish tradition straight to your taste buds with our Bon of the Month—Paczki! 🇵🇱 Inspired by the beloved Polish pastry, our Paczki Bon is a perfect blend of raspberry jam, fried dough ganache, and a dusting of donut sugar, delivering all the joy of Fat Tuesday in a single bite. But be warned—this festive flavor is here for a limited time, so don’t wait too long to treat yourself!

Paczki (pronounced “punch-kee”) are deep-fried pastries filled with sweet fillings like jam or cream, dusted with powdered sugar, and traditionally enjoyed in Poland on Tłusty Czwartek—or “Fat Thursday”—as a way to indulge before the fasting of Lent begins. However, in the United States, particularly in Polish-American communities like Hamtramck, Michigan, the tradition has grown into an even bigger celebration with Paczki Day on Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday.

Hamtramck, home of our beloved Manufactory, is known for its legendary Paczki Day celebrations. The city’s Polish roots run deep, and on Fat Tuesday, and everyone lines up at early hours, no matter how cold! Just to get their hands on some fresh baked paczki.

Fun fact!

Did you know paczki is actually plural?? The singular version of the Polish term is paczek. The more you Bon!

Join us in celebrating the fun and festive spirit of Paczki Day and Fat Tuesday this February with our Paczki Bon, available in shops and in the Seasonals Special Box Bon-line!

Na Zdrowie!
